Step 1: First of all, go to run and type Control Printers and hit enter or click on ok.

Step 2: When you click on the ok button, you will see a screen where all the devices connected to the system will appear. You have to go to the printer section and right click on the default printer. Now click on see what’s printing option.

Step 3: After you click on the see what’s printing option, a new window will pop up. Here you have to go to the printer option from the menu bar. And click on Cancel All Documents. All the pending jobs in the queue will be canceled. If you didn’t get what I meant, check out the screenshot below.

However, above method is best and most easy method to cancel the pending jobs in the print queue. But in case, even after following the above method you still face the same problem or document stuck in print queue, then you can use this method too. In this method all you will have to do is use some command in the command prompt.

Let’s see The steps are given below.

Step 1: First of all go to the command prompt. To go to the command prompt, right-click the bottom-left corner of the screen and select “Command Prompt. Remember you have to choose the one with admin privileges. Else, you will get the “Access Denied” error.

Step 2: Once the command prompt is open, first type the command to stop the spooler service. the command is given below.

Net Stop Spooler

Step 2: Once done, type the below-given command and hit enter.

The first and the last commands are very obvious as they are to start and stop the print spooler service. The middle command i.e “del %systemroot%\System32\spool\printers\* /Q /F /S” is to delete everything in the printers folder.

In the command, Q refers to the quiet mode. Which means you won’t get a confirmation if you want to delete each file. F delete all read-only files. And S deletes any subdirectories if exist.
